Autorun Producer
Autorun Producer makes it easy to create CD-ROMs with your photos and music. The Autorun Producer program creates four files that are necessary to create a CD-ROM slide show that starts automatically when the end-user inserts the CD-ROM into their CD-ROM drive. CD-ROMs created with this program may be distributed royalty free for non-commercial uses. To use this utility, simply:

When you
click the create button, four files are created: 1. AUTORUN.INF,
2. DSSAR.EXE, 3. DSSAR.ICO
and 4. DSS.INI. Simply copy these four files from
the location indicated to the root directory of your CD-ROM. You may place your
photos in any folder structure you want on the CD-ROM, however, these three
files must be placed in the root folder of the CD-ROM. If your CD drive is F:,
these files must be placed in F:\ . The example to the right shows these four
files and a music file located in the root of F: . It also shows a subfolder
names "2002 08" off the root.
To add photos to your cd, copy these images to the root of the CD-ROM or in sub-folders.
Captions
If you created captions for your photos, be sure to copy all
the .dss files with the same name as the images to the CD as
well. Remember that captions and other photo properties are stored in files
with the same name as the image but with .dss as the file extension.
Thus, a photo named PHOTO29.JPG would have its caption stored in PHOTO29.DSS.
Make sure to copy all of the .dss files with your images to your CD-ROM if you
want the captions to be displayed on your CD-ROM.
Music
To add music to your slide show, add .mp3 files to the folders where your images
are located. The music will play automatically if you configure the slide show
to play music. To configure the slide show program to play music, click the
Play Music option. Music files are played in alphabetical order which includes
the full path to the file name. For example: d:\AugustPhotos\Z.mp3 will
play before d:\SeptemberPhotos\A.mp3. The mp3 files will play one after
another. When the last mp3 has played, the whole sequence will be restarted
with the first mp3.
The screen shown above will be displayed after you click the Create button from the main window of Autorun Producer. The location of the Autorun files is displayed in a box in the center of this window. Click the Folder icon on the right side of this box to open this folder in Windows Explorer.
